Wreck Diving

Equivalency/Brevet: CMAS/GDL SK Wracktauchen/ SSI SC-WR Wreck Diving
Further eductaion with VDST (CAMS) or SSI.
In our special course “wreck diving” you will be familiarized in theory and practice with the safe planning, preparation and execution of wreck dives.
During the course you will also learn where to find information about wrecks, how to search and find a wreck and what preparations are necessary for a dive at a shipwreck.
There are many famous wrecks in the Red Sea that you can explore.
Prerequisites
• Completed diving training (SUBEX-Diver, CMAS/VDST 1 Star, OWD SSI/PADI)
• 20 logged dives
• Minimum age 16 years
• VDST requires the CMAS** and minimum 50 logged dives
About the course:
- The aim of the special course is to learn to react to certain dangerous situations, which can occur especially when diving on sunken ships.
- The course participants learn how to behave correctly at the wreck.
- At the end of the course the participants know how to carry out wreck dives safely in different situations.
- 3 dives with training focus on wreck diving.
- Theoretical units during briefing and debriefing, including planning of wreck dives, equipment for wreck dives, risks on the wreck.
- With only three more Specialties, your SSI OWD will become an SSI Advanced Open Water Diver.
