Equivalency/Brevet: SSI SC-REC Search & Recovery
Things that fall and sink in the water are not lost forever, because well trained divers can find them again and recover them!
In this course you will learn how to do this. In two dives (not included in the price) you learn search patterns, compass navigation and also how to lift objects. Search and recovery techniques are also explained clearly by the instructor in the theory lesson. Everything is discussed in detail, from the planning and execution to the recovery.
Prerequisites
• Completed diving training (SUBEX-Diver, CMAS/VDST 1 Star, OWD SSI/PADI)
• 10 logged dives
• Minimum age 14 years
About the course:
- The SSI Search & Recovery Program provides you with the necessary knowledge and skills in the area of search and recovery techniques, such as the use of the lifting bag.
- You will receive the SSI Search & Recovery Specialty Certification.
- 2 dives with training focus on search and recovery.
- Theoretical unit in briefing and debriefing: influencing factors, planning and organization, search techniques, rescue techniques, skills.
- With just three additional specialties, your SSI Open Water Diver becomes an SSI Advanced Open Water Diver.
